7 Photo Editing Apps to Try!

Here are some free apps to make your images picture perfect, with features such as filters, layout, effects, typography, etc. Enjoy

1. Typorama

Typorama is an easy to use app that allows you to add chic, modern typography to your images. First step for making your creation is to choose an image by searching sample images or using your own. You can then crop the image for the ideal fit for whatever social media platform or otherwise you may be working on. And last, you get to add your typography. This app gives you plenty of free, beautiful designs to choose from. And as you may have guessed, you can fork up a couple dollars to remove the watermark and add additional features.

2. LiveCollage

There are a variety of free apps you can use to make collages, but this one has become a tried and true for me. Again this app is easy to use and includes a huge variety of design choices, no matter how many images you choose to collage with. Simply choose your layout and add your images to each box. The images can also be cropped and edited further, and you can add stickers and borders to the collage if you wish.

3. PIP Camera

Definitely a cool concept, this app allows you to create a magnified image within an image, with a variety of designs to choose from.

4. Canva

Like Typorama, Canva allows you to edit an image and then add beautiful typography to your image. This app has a wide array of type choices, as well as designs for your images that make gorgeous thumbnails. This app also has a huge array of design choices for any social network (or other project) you may be working on, including an Instagram image, poster, facebook cover, YouTube Channel Art (which if you’ve tried to design channel art that fits and looks right, you know it can be a challenge!), invitations, and more.

5. Prisma

If you are looking for an app to give your images a more artsy, creative twist, you will love playing around with Prisma. Prisma allows you to turn your photos into illustrations, mosaics, and more in style.

6. Darkroom

Darkroom allows you to crop images accurately and add beautiful filters to your work with ease. You can even create your own filters. The only complaint is the number of features you get without purchasing the full version are not a lot, but for simple editing jobs this is a great app to have.

7. Snapseed

Need something a little more in depth than Darkroom, but still fairly easy to use? I recommend this app for its simplicity and range of features for adjusting color, shadows, crop, perspective, text, blur, frames, filters, and more.
